Mr. Joseph T. Rosato, 63, of Cortland passed away Friday May 4, 2018 at his home after a lengthy illness. Born, January 26, 1955 in Cortland, Joe was a son of Thomas F. and Katherine Silvaggio Rosato and was a life time resident of Cortland.

Joe was employed as a propane specialist with Suburban Propane in Polkville from 1982-2007. He was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and was a devoted family man.

Joe is survived by his wife; Jo Anne Billodeau Rosato at home, a son; Chad (Tara) Rosato of Cleveland, Tennessee and a daughter; Gina (Dereck) Withey of Cortland, a brother; Thomas (Betsey) Rosato of Cortland., Joe always called his sister-in-laws, "Sis" as they were more like sisters to him.,four grandchildren; Cole, Mason and Joseph Rosato and Kenzie Withey. Joe was very fond of a special neighbor, Gilda Biviano who was like a second mother to him, they looked out for each other as they would check in on each other every day by phone. Joe also had other special neighbors; Mark and Diane Yacavone., and special friends Bob and Doris Hyde.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Riccardi Funeral Home 69 N. Main St., Cortland, N.Y. with Rev. Kenneth Kirkman officiating. Prayers of committal will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. The family extends an invitation for friends and family to join them after the committal prayers at the Port Watson Mini Conference Center 131 Port Watson St. Cortland, N.Y.

The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
